Reina Shukl is spearheading a ‘Living Smart’ health revolution—one employing food as medicine to augment and enhance individuals’ lifespan, energy levels, mental clarity, happiness, and so much more. As a globally renowned health practitioner, speaker, educator, and advocate in the field of Preventive Wellness, Reina’s expertise lies in Functional Medicine and clinical dietetics, with an experience spanning two decades. Reina also founded Living Smart Consultants, an enterprise established with the goal of tailoring and providing wellness solutions for workplaces, schools, corporates and individuals. She is dedicated to continually expanding her portfolio, and had recently launched protein supplements and Vegan foods in line with her mission of leveraging food as medicine. With a passion for Food as Medicine and wellness, Reina has recently streamlined her knowledge to launch her activism efforts, striving to facilitate some much-needed changes in our food system on a global scale.

Through her work, Reina wants to advocate and implement  changes at the policy level for the betterment of public health. In 2010, Reina has propagated the Living Well Campaign with ECCQ Queensland. In collaboration with Dr. Koppikar (renowned Breast Cancer surgeon in Asia), she also directed her efforts towards assisting cancer patients. In addition, she has been at the forefront of providing training to clinical dieticians emphasizing the use of food as medicine. Reina’s contributions in healthcare activism are admirable and span across diverse fields. She has been an active advocate for diabetes prevention campaigns, helped raise funds for the safety and wellness of children, campaigned with Multicultural development of Australia, and played a critical role in drafting the manual on Chronic Diseases for the Indian community for Queensland Government.

Reina Shukl is an Australian-Indian author and wellness activist.  Her best-selling book, ‘Woke Emotions with Wise Foods, is written with a focus on emotional wellness ( EMO- therapy)-based eating, a unique concept based on traditional medicine juxtaposed with modern science. This book has been a part of British Council Chamber libraries with a rating 8.3/10 and has been placed at various libraries.

Reina is a national award-winning Wellness Expert (M.D and  M.PH in Public health from Griffith Australia, Masters in Microbiology) and Yogini ( teachers trained In Raj Yoga), and was honoured to receive her award from Padma Shree Dr J.D Singh. With an unparalleled zeal to learn and expand her knowledge, she received a diploma in child psychology from Stanford University and a diploma in clinical dietetics. Reina’s client base is spread across the globe, which can be attributed to her holistic approach to health  and the fact that  she has been a leading expert in her field for nearly 15 years.

After beginning her career as a dietician to an athlete who went on to set a Guinness record, she dedicated herself to continually learning and educating herself. She is currently pursuing research on Intermittent fasting and obesity in children aged under five years.

Reina is a gifted healer whose ability to heal people precedes her formal education, which she ascribes to her intuitive sense and knowledge of foods.

She has firm faith in the healing properties of foods based on wisdom of Ayurveda and has experienced the “SHAKTI”- the power of thoughts and emotions that can be aroused by eating the right foods. Her Vaishnav mother cultivated the principle of caring for the environment and animals since childhood, and thus, she has been a vegetarian since birth.
