My Work

Reina is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine-USA. In her approach, she prioritizes connecting to the client and tries to identify how and why illness occurs and how she can help them restore their  health  back in the quickest and simplest way possible.

By addressing the root causes of disease for each individual, it is a unique approach that is individual-specific in nature, This patient centric method (PCM) views health and illness as part of a continuum in which all components of the human biological system interact dynamically: Gene, Environment, Lifestyle, Diet, Activity patterns, Psycho-social-spiritual factors, Stress, and Emotion. This approach appreciates the fact that the influences of all of these interactions on an individual’s biology is far more complex than the human genome. In fact, most diseases are not genetically determined. It is gene expression rather than genetic inheritance that plays a critical role the emergence of disease. Functional medicine attends to all of these in a very personal way.

One disease/condition (e.g., obesity) may have multiple causes, just as one fundamental imbalance (e.g., inflammation) may be at the root of many seemingly disparate conditions. Functional medicines identifies and addresses the root of the condition to address it more effectively.

By leveraging her education and experience, Reina has designed her own methodology of enhancing the wellness of her clients based on MIND_BODY_SOUL_EMOTIONS connect.

She believes that emotions are capable of affecting all the three levels ( MIND_BODY_SOUL). Therefore, in order to approach wellness holistically, it is essential to create and sustain positive emotions in body. This strategy is vital not only for health of an individual, but also for overall success in life, since emotions influence every decision and choice that we make ( wrong choices can cause loss and illness). Regardless of how conscious we are about our diet and exercise, if we have some deep-rooted negative emotions, they will act as ticking bombs and negatively affect our health, happiness and success. Therefore, it’s vital to address them and drive efforts to transform them into positive emotions. Reina is an active proponent of this approach and she helps her clients handle all types of illnesses by equipping them with tools and techniques and recommending foods to evoke positive emotions via her trademarked EMO -Therapy to overcome or reverse illnesses.
